SUNDAY 6 MARCH - Queensland and the Gold Coast

Another early flight of a couple of hours brought me to the state of Queensland where I was met by my nephew and adopted Aussie, Chris West. A great opportunity for a family reunion and a chance to spend some time with great nieces Kia and Niki, great nephew Jake, and my new great great nephew Marley. We went for a drive round the Gold Coast resort and a wonderful walk along the beach - virtually deserted on a bright and very warm March day.





Back at the Chez Wests in the evening and Chris and his wife Teressa had invited friends and relatives to a full on Aussie barbie. A great taste of Queensland outdoor domestic culture!
