Stars in my Eyes

It was a great pleasure this afternoon to be able to call in on the latest training session in our Somerset Care "Rising Stars" programme. The programme is designed to support the professional development of our aspiring generation of future managers. The group now numbers eleven and the team are acting as our willing pioneers on this programme, which is hopefully the first of what will become a regular annual training and development course for the Somerset Care Group.

It is a great pleasure to spend time with such an enthusiastic group, all keen to learn and to develop their management skills. Tomorrow they are off to London to visit the "Care Show" at Olympia. This is the largest trade show for the care sector in the UK. I am sure they will have a fascinating day gaining insight into the wider aspects of this huge "industry".
